Rainbow Development Center

Rainbow Children's Development Center was started 2006, with construction of dorm rooms and dining- hall. This facility will raise up orphans from the local area to be strong witnesses in their own community.

W-warm each child with arms of love
I-introduce them to Jesus Christ: praying for their salvation
T-train them in the Word of God: that they might rightly divide truth
N-nurture them to develop spiritually and physically
E-educate them with skills needed to be productive in society
S-send them out to their own country to minister the gospel
S-support them with continual prayers and guidance

2007 saw many accomplishments at the Rainbow Children's Development Center in Malawi. The buildings to house and feed the children, staff and mission teams were completed. All buildings have electric and hot/cold running water. There are 38 children, 11 staff, and 2 missionaries that now call Rainbow their home. When the rains start in December, approximately 20 acres will be planted in corn and peanuts. This should produce enough corn to feed the children and staff, and allow for next year's planting needs, and even produce some to share with the most needy widows and orphans in the villages. A fruit orchard of 89 tress was planted. In two-three years, we will be able to enjoy fresh mango, guavas, oranges, tangerines, lemons and bananas. We also started our own vegetable garden. By producing our own fruits and vegetables, we will be able to provide for more children.

God's Word is going out to the villages. A grass building was constructed for our church. Since 2010 a brick building has replaced the grass building and is called Rainbow Community Church. God's love is being demonstrated thru Rainbow's Outreach programs, which helps provide assistance with basic needs for desperately needy widows and orphans. Every evening before supper, the children and staff share in Bible Study and prayer.

These achievements have not been without opposition. There is a great spiritual battle being fought, and we are on the front lines. The people in our area are taught false doctrine and Rainbow is located less than a mile from one of the largest ancestral worship courts in our region. We desperately need your prayers. As the Bible says in 2 Thess 3:1-2, "Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you, And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for not all men have faith."  Pray that the TRUTH of God's Word will take hold of the people's heart and spread quickly, as people are dying in unbelievable numbers.

God has done great and mighty things in 2007 and we look forward to the years ahead. We thank you for prayers and support of Rainbow Children's Development Center. These accomplishment have laid a solid foundations for years to come. We ask that you continue to pray for John and Lea Anne Campbell of Promise of Christ Ministry, as they serve as administrators of Rainbow. You can sponsor a child for $40 per month. This makes a great mission project for all ages of Sunday School Classes
